The Calistoga Wine Way Inn is an Arts and Crafts house from the early 1900s on Foothill Boulevard, at the south edge of town, with eight rooms, each with a private bath, including the Silverado and Lokoya suites.
The suites have jetted tubs, fireplaces and king beds. There is an upper deck with a fire pit, gardens and a gazebo with views of Mount St. Helena, and breakfast at Calistoga Roastery is included. The whole inn, sleeping up to 19, can be booked for a group, and its sister inn, the Calistoga Craftsman Inn, is nearby.
It is also an easy place to start a wine tour. Sterling Vineyards, Clos Pegase and Envy Wines are all within about 5 minutes, and St. Helena is about 15 minutes south. We are based in Calistoga ourselves, a few minutes away.
Sonoma County Airport (STS): about 19 miles, 40 minutes. The closest airport to Calistoga Wine Way Inn and the easiest arrival: a short drive over the hills from Santa Rosa, with no Bay Area traffic. Direct flights come in from Los Angeles, San Diego, Seattle, Portland, Phoenix, Denver, Dallas and more.
San Francisco International (SFO): about 85 miles, 1 hour 45 minutes, and 2 hours or more at busy times. The most flights, with the longest drive, across the Bay Area and up through Napa Valley.
Oakland (OAK): about 77 miles, 1 hour 35 minutes. Often a quieter airport than SFO, and a slightly shorter drive.
Sacramento (SMF): about 90 miles, around 2 hours. Skips Bay Area traffic entirely, though it is the longest drive of the four.
Flying private? We also meet guests at the FBOs at STS and Napa County Airport (APC). See our Sonoma County Airport car service page for more on flying into STS.
