About the Winery

Seth Cripe founded LOLA Wines in 2008 and named it after his dog. He started in a Florida restaurant as a teenager and moved to Napa Valley at 17 to work in wineries. LOLA began with 700 cases of Russian River Valley Pinot Noir from a vineyard he planted in 2004. It is still family owned, run by Seth, his mother Nancy and co-proprietor Rafaela Costa.

Every LOLA wine is a single varietal from organically farmed, CCOF-certified vineyards, with more than 15 grape varieties grown in Calistoga, St. Helena, the Russian River Valley and beyond. Next to Pinot Noir, Chardonnay and Cabernet Sauvignon you will find Melon, Dry Muscat, Vermentino and Albariño. The style is fresh and lower in alcohol, with whites around 11 to 12 percent.

Tastings are held in the LOLA House, a house built in 1892 on Foothill Boulevard at the north end of town, with indoor and outdoor seating. The standard flight is five house-selected wines that change with the season. LOLA's sister brand, Cortez Conservas, makes bottarga (salt-cured, dried mullet roe), and a bottarga and karasumi pairing can be added to a tasting.

Tasting Fees

$45 for The LOLA Experience, a flight of five house-selected wines. A LOLA Reserve Tasting of five wines is also offered. Groups of 7 or more pay $60 per guest plus a 20% service fee. The Cortez Conservas bottarga pairing is $30.

Tasting fees as of September 2026. Wineries set and collect their own fees, and they change from time to time.
