About the Property
The Selvedge is a new 11-room inn on the banks of the Russian River in Healdsburg, from the team behind the three-Michelin-star SingleThread. It is set in a restored 1895 Victorian mansion, once the home of pioneering winemaker Isabelle Simi Haigh, and opens in November 2026, with reservations taking stays from November 9.
Stays are all-inclusive in the bed-and-breakfast style, with a traditional English breakfast each morning, afternoon drinks and snacks from the kitchen, and a guest pantry of house-made treats. The rooms include three River View Suites and a 2,000-square-foot Penthouse Suite, and booking either guarantees a dinner reservation at SingleThread. Once open, guests also have herb and rose gardens, a library of rare music, food and fashion books, and the river for kayaking and walks.
It is also an easy place to start a wine tour. Hirsch Vineyards pours across Front Street, and MacRostie Winery and Ridge Lytton Springs are about 10 minutes away. We are based in Calistoga, in neighboring Napa Valley.
Getting Here From the Airport
Sonoma County Airport (STS): about 10 miles, 15 minutes. The closest airport to The Selvedge, and the easiest arrival: a small airport in Santa Rosa with no Bay Area traffic on the drive. Direct flights come in from Los Angeles, San Diego, Seattle, Portland, Phoenix, Denver, Dallas and more.
Oakland (OAK): about 82 miles, 1 hour 55 minutes. Often a quieter airport than SFO.
San Francisco International (SFO): about 82 miles, 2 hours, and longer at busy times. The most flights, with a drive across the Bay Area.
Sacramento (SMF): about 115 miles, 2 hours 40 minutes. Skips Bay Area traffic entirely, though it is the longest drive of the four.
