About the Property

Bann is a Thai-inspired bed and breakfast among the vineyards of the Oak Knoll District, north of the city of Napa. It was formerly the Oak Knoll Inn, which opened in 1985, and is now owned by chef Lalita Souksamlane of the Osha Thai restaurants in San Francisco.

A three-course breakfast is included, and there is a heated saltwater pool and hot tub with vineyard and mountain views. In-room massage is available, there is a Tesla charger, and the property is smoke-free. Dogs up to 30 pounds are welcome.

It is also an easy place to start a wine tour. Signorello Estate, Darioush and Clos du Val are all within about 5 minutes, and Yountville is about 15 minutes north. We are based in Calistoga, at the north end of the valley.

Getting Here From the Airport

Sonoma County Airport (STS): about 42 miles, 1 hour 10 minutes. The closest airport to Bann, and the easiest arrival: a small airport in Santa Rosa with no Bay Area traffic on the drive. Direct flights come in from Los Angeles, San Diego, Seattle, Portland, Phoenix, Denver, Dallas and more.

Oakland (OAK): about 58 miles, 1 hour 15 minutes. Often a quieter airport than SFO.

San Francisco International (SFO): about 66 miles, 1 hour 25 minutes, and longer at busy times. The most flights, with a drive across the Bay Area.

Sacramento (SMF): about 71 miles, 1 hour 35 minutes. Skips Bay Area traffic entirely, though it is the longest drive of the four.

Flying private? We also meet guests at the FBOs at STS and Napa County Airport (APC). See our Sonoma County Airport car service page for more on flying into STS.
