A hillside estate rebuilt after the 2017 Atlas Fire, now in Chapter 11 but still hosting tastings, and a suggested six-hour day around it.

Ray Signorello Sr. and Ray Jr. founded Signorello Estate in 1977 on a hillside above the Silverado Trail, planting the first vines in 1980. The estate has about 30 acres of volcanic-soil vineyard and makes fewer than 5,000 cases a year.
The 2017 Atlas Fire destroyed the original winery. It was rebuilt as a fire-protected, solar-powered winery with more than 11,000 square feet of caves, and reopened to visitors in June 2024. On August 27, 2026, the winery filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection in federal court in Northern California, citing the fire, the pandemic, smoke damage to the 2020 harvest and a soft wine market. Canadian investors Amar Doman and Ashley Cooper have offered to buy the estate, and the winery has continued to operate and take tasting reservations during the case.
The wines are made with native yeasts and without fining or filtering, including Hope's Cuvée Chardonnay and the Padrone red. Tastings range from an outdoor social tasting to a guided tour and seated tasting in the caves.
Tastings range from $50 to $125 per person: $50 for the Estate Social Tasting of three wines outdoors and $125 for the Legacy Tasting, a guided tour and seated tasting in the caves.
Tasting fees as of October 2026. Wineries set and collect their own fees, and they change from time to time.
