About the Property

Liora Estate is a 16-room, European-inspired hotel on North Street, steps from Healdsburg Plaza. It opened in 2005 as Hotel Les Mars and took its current name in April 2026. Rooms come in Classic, Premier and Luxe categories, and some have turntables and vinyl collections.

Breakfast is served in the room each morning, and there is a daily wine service in the lobby and a Library Lounge. Maréla, a coastal European bistro, opened in May 2026. Dogs and cats are welcome for $150 per pet per stay, and children are welcome with adult supervision.

It is also an easy place to start a wine tour. Rockpile Vineyards, Hirsch Vineyards and Stonestreet Estate Vineyards are all within about 10 minutes. We are based in Calistoga, in neighboring Napa Valley.

Getting Here From the Airport

Sonoma County Airport (STS): about 10 miles, 15 minutes. The closest airport to Liora Estate, and the easiest arrival: a small airport in Santa Rosa with no Bay Area traffic on the drive. Direct flights come in from Los Angeles, San Diego, Seattle, Portland, Phoenix, Denver, Dallas and more.

Oakland (OAK): about 82 miles, 1 hour 45 minutes. Often a quieter airport than SFO.

San Francisco International (SFO): about 82 miles, 1 hour 50 minutes, and longer at busy times. The most flights, with a drive across the Bay Area.

Sacramento (SMF): about 114 miles, around 2 hours. Skips Bay Area traffic entirely, though it is the longest drive of the four.

About 20 minutes away. Cabernet Sauvignon aged only in American oak, from Alexander Valley and Napa Valley. The Silver Oak Tasting of four wines is $65. Reservations recommended for seated tastings.

About 20 minutes away. A bakery café and a Healdsburg tradition since 1923, a short walk from the plaza. Open daily from 7:30 a.m. Prefer a picnic? We can arrange a catered picnic at a winery that allows one; the cost is quoted when you book.

About 15 minutes away. Estate Pinot Noir, Chardonnay and some of California's oldest Sauvignon Blanc vines, on Westside Road. The Estate Flight is $25; allow 60 to 90 minutes. By appointment, Monday to Saturday.

2:30 · Porter Creek Vineyards

About 10 minutes away. Estate Pinot Noir and Chardonnay from old vines on Westside Road, made by owner Alex Davis. The Grand Tasting is $50, waived with a 2-bottle purchase. Book ahead, or walk in as space allows.

4:00 · Back to Liora Estate

About 20 minutes away. Back by 4:00 p.m., six hours after pickup.

Optional: J Vineyards & Winery

Adds about an hour. Traditional-method sparkling wine and Russian River Valley Pinot Noir south of Healdsburg. The standing Signature Tasting is $35 and the seated Legacy Lounge tasting $50. Thursday to Monday; reservations recommended.
