Traditional-method sparkling wine and Pinot Noir from Judy Jordan's winery, and a suggested six-hour day of tasting around it.

Judy Jordan founded J in 1986 with help from her father, Tom Jordan, the founder of Jordan Winery, and bought out his share by 1999. In 1996 J moved into the former Piper Sonoma winery on Old Redwood Highway, south of Healdsburg. E. & J. Gallo bought J Vineyards & Winery in 2015.
J began as a sparkling wine house and added Pinot Noir by 1994, then Chardonnay. It makes its sparkling wines by the traditional method: the grapes are hand-picked at night while they are cool and pressed gently in Coquard presses, which are rare in the United States. Nicole Hitchcock is head winemaker.
Visitors can stand at the bar for the Signature Tasting, which runs from sparkling wine to Pinot Noir, or sit in the Legacy Lounge for small-lot wines. The Bubble Room serves a multi-course food and wine pairing that changes every six to eight weeks.
$35 for the standing Signature Tasting of five wines, about an hour. $50 for the seated Legacy Lounge tasting of five small-lot wines, about an hour, by appointment, with a charcuterie plate for $30. $125 for the two-hour Bubble Room food and wine pairing.
Tasting fees as of September 2026. Wineries set and collect their own fees, and they change from time to time.
