About the Property
Cottage Grove Inn is 16 private cottages under a canopy of elm trees on Lincoln Avenue, a short stroll from downtown Calistoga. Each has a fireplace, a vaulted, skylit ceiling, a deep soaking tub for two and its own porch.
A light breakfast is included, and cruiser bikes are complimentary; the inn is set up for cyclists, with a bike repair area. There is no spa or restaurant on site, but the hot springs spas and restaurants of Lincoln Avenue are a few minutes' walk. Three cottages take dogs under 40 pounds.
It is also an easy place to start a wine tour. Fisher Vineyards, Venge Vineyards and Envy Wines are all within about 5 minutes, and St. Helena is about 15 minutes south. We are based in Calistoga ourselves, a few minutes away.
Getting Here From the Airport
Sonoma County Airport (STS): about 19 miles, 40 minutes. The closest airport to Cottage Grove Inn and the easiest arrival: a short drive over the hills from Santa Rosa, with no Bay Area traffic. Direct flights come in from Los Angeles, San Diego, Seattle, Portland, Phoenix, Denver, Dallas and more.
San Francisco International (SFO): about 86 miles, 1 hour 50 minutes, and 2 hours or more at busy times. The most flights, with the longest drive, across the Bay Area and up through Napa Valley.

About 10 minutes away. Up the wooded slopes of Diamond Mountain to the historic caves where Schramsberg ages its traditional-method sparkling wine. The cave tour with a tasting runs about an hour, about $100. By appointment.
