About the Property
Chardonnay Lodge is a small boutique hotel on Jefferson Street in the city of Napa, about a mile from downtown. Its guest rooms were each designed by the hotel's owner.
It is one of the few hotels in Napa with its own on-site vineyard, set beside an English rose tea garden with a rose tunnel, statues, fountains and private seating areas. Rooms have a refrigerator and microwave.
It is also an easy place to start a wine tour. The Oak Knoll District and Trefethen are about 10 minutes north, and Yountville and the Stags Leap District are within about 15. We are based in Calistoga, at the north end of the valley.
Getting Here From the Airport
Sonoma County Airport (STS): about 44 miles, 1 hour 10 minutes. The closest airport to Chardonnay Lodge, and the easiest arrival: a small airport in Santa Rosa with no Bay Area traffic on the drive. Direct flights come in from Los Angeles, San Diego, Seattle, Portland, Phoenix, Denver, Dallas and more.
Oakland (OAK): about 54 miles, 1 hour 15 minutes. Often a quieter airport than SFO.
San Francisco International (SFO): about 62 miles, 1 hour 30 minutes, and longer at busy times. The most flights, with a drive across the Bay Area.
Sacramento (SMF): about 67 miles, 1 hour 30 minutes. Skips Bay Area traffic entirely, though it is the longest drive of the four.

About 10 minutes away. Thomas Keller's bakery on Washington Street in Yountville, for sandwiches, quiche and pastries. Prefer a picnic? We can arrange a catered picnic at a winery that allows one; the cost is quoted when you book.

About 5 minutes away. Napa Valley's French-founded sparkling wine house in Yountville. The Signature flight is $70, about 90 minutes, and the Weekday Flight is $53. Closed Tuesdays, and Wednesdays from November.

About 15 minutes away. A ranch farmed by the Hendry family since 1939, where every wine comes from estate grapes. The Red Wine Flight is $50, about an hour. By appointment only.
