About the Winery

Ron Miller, Diane Disney Miller and Lillian Disney, widow of Walt Disney, founded Silverado Vineyards in 1981, building the winery on a knoll above their Stags Leap vineyard. In 2022 it was bought by Bill and Carol Foley of Foley Family Wines.

In 1999 UC Davis gave the estate's Cabernet clone Heritage status, one of only three to receive it, and the flagship SOLO Cabernet, made only from that clone, followed in 2002. The winery now farms more than 300 acres, including Mt. George in Coombsville.

The terrace views over the Stags Leap District are among the best on the Silverado Trail. Tastings range from a relaxed Discovery flight to a Legacy Cabernet tour.

Tasting Fees

$50 for the Discovery Tasting, 45 to 60 minutes. $85 for the Estate Collection and $115 for White Wine & Caviar, each 90 minutes. $145 for the Legacy Cabernet Tour, daily at 10 and 1:30.

Tasting fees as of September 2026. Wineries set and collect their own fees, and they change from time to time.
