Yountville · Napa Valley
Napa Valley's French-founded sparkling wine house in Yountville, and a suggested six-hour day of tasting around it.
Book a Six-Hour Wine Tour
Moët & Chandon founded Chandon in Yountville in 1973, the first French-owned sparkling wine house in Napa Valley. Robert-Jean de Vogüé of Moët led the venture, and the winery is owned today by LVMH.
The wines are made in the traditional method, with the second fermentation in the bottle, from Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier. The estate's 1977 building, set among gardens and oaks at the edge of Yountville, was renovated in 2023.
A Chandon visit is bright and festive, with flights on the terrace and lawns. It makes an easy, sparkling start to a day of Napa Valley reds.
$53 for the Weekday Flight, Monday to Thursday. $70 for the Signature flight and $95 for the Pinnacle flight, each about 90 minutes. Food pairings from $59.
Tasting fees as of September 2026. Wineries set and collect their own fees, and they change from time to time.
