The McClelland House

About the Property

The McClelland House is a Victorian built in 1879 in Napa's Napa Abajo and Fuller Park historic district, formerly the McClelland-Priest bed and breakfast. It has six suites, including the Carriage House Suite, which also dates to 1879.

Ceilings run 12 to 16 feet, the Bond Suite has a freestanding jacuzzi tub, and there is an elevator. A chef-prepared hot breakfast and afternoon wine and cheese are included, and parking is off-street and complimentary. Up to two pets under 50 pounds are allowed in the Carriage House Suite only.

It is also an easy place to start a wine tour. Trefethen Family Vineyards, Darioush and Saintsbury are all within about 15 minutes, and Yountville is about 20 minutes north. We are based in Calistoga, at the north end of the valley.

Getting Here From the Airport

Oakland (OAK): about 51 miles, 1 hour 10 minutes. The closest airport to The McClelland House, and often quieter than SFO.

Sonoma County Airport (STS): about 45 miles, 1 hour 15 minutes. Often the easiest arrival: a small airport in Santa Rosa with no Bay Area traffic on the drive. Direct flights come in from Los Angeles, San Diego, Seattle, Portland, Phoenix, Denver, Dallas and more.

San Francisco International (SFO): about 59 miles, 1 hour 20 minutes, and longer at busy times. The most flights, with a drive across the Bay Area.

Sacramento (SMF): about 64 miles, 1 hour 25 minutes. Skips Bay Area traffic entirely, though it is the longest drive of the four.

Flying private? We also meet guests at the FBOs at STS and Napa County Airport (APC). See our Sonoma County Airport car service page for more on flying into STS.
