About the Property

Montage Healdsburg opened in December 2020 on a large estate of vineyards and woodland just outside Healdsburg. Its 130 rooms and suites are set in bungalow-style buildings, and about a third of each one is outdoor living space. The Michelin Guide awards it two Michelin Keys.

There is Spa Montage and pools, along with Hazel Hill restaurant, Scout Field Bar, Hudson Springs Bar and Grill and the Healdsburg Country Store. Dogs and cats under 45 pounds are welcome, up to two per room, for a $125 fee, and there are complimentary EV charging stations.

It is also an easy place to start a wine tour. Jordan Vineyard & Winery, Ridge Vineyards Lytton Springs and Trione Vineyards and Winery are all within about 15 minutes. We are based in Calistoga, in neighboring Napa Valley.

Getting Here From the Airport

Sonoma County Airport (STS): about 14 miles, 30 minutes. The closest airport to Montage Healdsburg, and the easiest arrival: a small airport in Santa Rosa with no Bay Area traffic on the drive. Direct flights come in from Los Angeles, San Diego, Seattle, Portland, Phoenix, Denver, Dallas and more.

Oakland (OAK): about 86 miles, 1 hour 55 minutes. Often a quieter airport than SFO.

San Francisco International (SFO): about 86 miles, 2 hours, and longer at busy times. The most flights, with a drive across the Bay Area.

Sacramento (SMF): about 113 miles, around 2 hours. Skips Bay Area traffic entirely, though it is the longest drive of the four.

About 5 minutes away. Single-vineyard Pinot Noir and Zinfandel from two friends who started in a San Francisco garage. The 75-minute seated Signature Tasting is $35. Reserve through Tock; walk-ins if space allows.

About 20 minutes away. Diamond Collection wines, a free movie museum and family-friendly grounds in Geyserville. Bar flights are $25 to $40, and the seated Feature Presentation is $50. Walk-ins welcome at the bar, Thursday to Monday.
