Alexander Valley · Sonoma County
A family-friendly estate with a movie museum, pool and restaurant beside the tasting room, and a suggested six-hour day of tasting around it.
Book a Six-Hour Wine Tour
The winery was built in 1973 as Chateau Souverain and passed through several owners, including Beringer Wine Estates, before the Coppola family bought it in 2006. After a renovation it reopened in 2010 with a new tasting room, the Coppola movie museum and Rustic, the restaurant. Delicato Family Wines bought the winery and its wine brands from the Coppola family in 2021.
Francis Ford Coppola modeled the estate on Tivoli Gardens in Copenhagen and on classic American pleasure parks, with something for every age. The estate vineyards include old-vine Zinfandel, Cabernet Franc and Negroamaro, and the wines run from Diamond Collection and Director's Cut to the top Archimedes and Eleanor bottlings.
The copper-roofed building, styled after a French château and Sonoma's old hop kilns, holds the tasting bar, the movie museum and Rustic, with a pool and bocce courts outside. Walk-ins are welcome at the main tasting bar, seated tastings pair reserve wines with food, and children are welcome with their families. The winery calls itself the most visited destination in Sonoma County.
$25 for the Sneak Preview flight and $40 for the Opening Credits flight at the Main Floor Tasting Bar, about 30 minutes. $50 for the seated Feature Presentation, about 60 minutes, and $65 for the Director's Table with food pairings, about 75 minutes. $75 for the 90-minute Behind-the-Scenes Tour; the self-guided audio tour of the movie museum is free.
Tasting fees as of September 2026. Wineries set and collect their own fees, and they change from time to time.
