About the Property
White House Napa is an adults-only boutique hotel in a Victorian mansion built in 1886 for Emanuel Manasse, designed by W.H. Corlett. It became the White House Inn bed and breakfast in 1990, and new owners relaunched it as White House Napa in 2022. It has 17 rooms, mostly kings.
A complimentary breakfast is served from 8:30 to 10:30 a.m., with a wine hour each night from 5 to 6 p.m. There is a heated pool and hot tub, complimentary bicycles and EV charging. Dogs are welcome for $150 for one or $200 for two per stay.
It is also an easy place to start a wine tour. Saintsbury, Trefethen Family Vineyards and Darioush are all within about 15 minutes, and Yountville is about 25 minutes north. We are based in Calistoga, at the north end of the valley.
Getting Here From the Airport
Oakland (OAK): about 51 miles, 1 hour 10 minutes. The closest airport to White House Napa, and often quieter than SFO.
Sonoma County Airport (STS): about 48 miles, 1 hour 15 minutes. Often the easiest arrival: a small airport in Santa Rosa with no Bay Area traffic on the drive. Direct flights come in from Los Angeles, San Diego, Seattle, Portland, Phoenix, Denver, Dallas and more.
San Francisco International (SFO): about 59 miles, 1 hour 20 minutes, and longer at busy times. The most flights, with a drive across the Bay Area.
Sacramento (SMF): about 64 miles, 1 hour 25 minutes. Skips Bay Area traffic entirely, though it is the longest drive of the four.

About 25 minutes away. Heidi Barrett's own label, poured on Foothill Boulevard. The Signature Tasting is $50 and takes walk-ins as space allows.
2:20 · PEJU Winery
About 20 minutes away. The Peju family's Rutherford estate since 1983, known for its 50-foot stone tower and a 1906 stained glass window. The Taster's Trio is $40 and the Classic Seated Tasting is $65. Reservations recommended, and walk-ins are welcome.
