About the Property
River Terrace Inn is a 114-room Noble House hotel on the Napa River, overlooking a nature preserve. It was built in 2003 and renovated in 2017 and 2018. Riverside rooms have balconies, and the suites have fireplaces and jetted tubs.
ALBA Bar + Cafe serves breakfast and evening drinks on a riverfront patio with fire pits, and The Slanted Door restaurant is next door. Bikes for the Napa Valley Vine Trail are complimentary. There is no pool, and up to two dogs are welcome.
It is also an easy place to start a wine tour. Darioush, Signorello Estate and Robert Biale Vineyards are all within about 15 minutes, and Yountville is about 25 minutes north. We are based in Calistoga, at the north end of the valley.
Getting Here From the Airport
Oakland (OAK): about 51 miles, 1 hour 10 minutes. The closest airport to River Terrace Inn, and often quieter than SFO.
Sonoma County Airport (STS): about 45 miles, 1 hour 15 minutes. Often the easiest arrival: a small airport in Santa Rosa with no Bay Area traffic on the drive. Direct flights come in from Los Angeles, San Diego, Seattle, Portland, Phoenix, Denver, Dallas and more.
San Francisco International (SFO): about 59 miles, 1 hour 20 minutes, and longer at busy times. The most flights, with a drive across the Bay Area.
Sacramento (SMF): about 64 miles, 1 hour 25 minutes. Skips Bay Area traffic entirely, though it is the longest drive of the four.
