About the Property
Inn at Sonoma is a 27-room inn on Broadway, two blocks from the historic Sonoma Plaza, with 19 rooms in the main building and eight in the newer Vintners Cottage next door. Every room has a fireplace. It is one of the Four Sisters Inns.
A breakfast is included each morning, with complimentary afternoon wine and cheese and fresh-baked cookies. There is a top-floor sundeck with a hot tub and bikes to borrow. One room welcomes dogs for a fee.
It is also an easy place to start a wine tour. Bedrock Wine Co., Three Sticks Wines and Sebastiani Vineyards & Winery are all within about 5 minutes. We are based in Calistoga, in neighboring Napa Valley.
Getting Here From the Airport
Sonoma County Airport (STS): about 29 miles, 55 minutes. The closest airport to Inn at Sonoma, and the easiest arrival: a small airport in Santa Rosa with no Bay Area traffic on the drive. Direct flights come in from Los Angeles, San Diego, Seattle, Portland, Phoenix, Denver, Dallas and more.
Oakland (OAK): about 60 miles, 1 hour 20 minutes. Often a quieter airport than SFO.
San Francisco International (SFO): about 59 miles, 1 hour 25 minutes, and longer at busy times. The most flights, with a drive across the Bay Area.
Sacramento (SMF): about 73 miles, 1 hour 35 minutes. Skips Bay Area traffic entirely, though it is the longest drive of the four.

Adds about an hour. Estate Chardonnay and Pinot Noir from a Burgundy-inspired estate founded in 1953, overlooking the Sonoma Valley and San Pablo Bay. The Heritage Tour & Tasting is $90 and runs about 90 minutes. By appointment, weekdays; closed in August and early September.
