About the Property
Golden Haven Hot Springs Spa & Resort is a hot springs spa and lodging on Lake Street in Calistoga, known for its couples and friends mud baths, taken together in a private treatment room.
It has 28 rooms, some with their own hot springs spa tub and others with two bedrooms for groups, and every stay includes bikes. The spa uses natural mineral water from the geothermal aquifer under the property, with mud baths, massages, soaks and salt scrubs. The front desk is open 8 a.m. to 10 p.m.
It is also an easy place to start a wine tour. Picayune Cellars, Tank Garage Winery and LOLA Wines are all within about 5 minutes. We are based in Calistoga too.

Sonoma County Airport (STS): about 19 miles, 40 minutes. The closest airport to Golden Haven, and the easiest arrival: a small airport in Santa Rosa with no Bay Area traffic on the drive. Direct flights come in from Los Angeles, San Diego, Seattle, Portland, Phoenix, Denver, Dallas and more.
Oakland (OAK): about 78 miles, 1 hour 50 minutes. Often a quieter airport than SFO.
San Francisco International (SFO): about 86 miles, 2 hours, and longer at busy times. The most flights, with a drive across the Bay Area.
Sacramento (SMF): about 91 miles, 2 hours 5 minutes. Skips Bay Area traffic entirely, though it is the longest drive of the four.
