About the Property
Carneros Resort and Spa is set on 28 acres of vineyards in Los Carneros, at the southern gateway to Napa Valley. Most guests stay in free-standing cottages with a private backyard, fire pit, outdoor shower, indoor fireplace and heated slate floors, and there are also suites and vacation homes, 86 in all.
FARM Restaurant & Bar is the signature restaurant, with Boon Fly Café, The Hilltop by the pool and a half-acre culinary garden. The Spa at Carneros is for guests only and has open-air soaking tubs, and there are two pools: the adults-only Hilltop Pool (16 and up) and the family-friendly Otto's Pool. Daily breakfast is included, and up to two dogs are welcome in each cottage, with an on-site dog park.
It is also an easy place to start a wine tour. Saintsbury, Domaine Carneros and Etude Wines are all within about 10 minutes, and Yountville is about 25 minutes north. We are based in Calistoga, at the north end of the valley.
Getting Here From the Airport
Oakland (OAK): about 50 miles, 1 hour 5 minutes. The closest airport to Carneros Resort and Spa, and often quieter than SFO.
Sonoma County Airport (STS): about 44 miles, 1 hour 10 minutes. Often the easiest arrival: a small airport in Santa Rosa with no Bay Area traffic on the drive. Direct flights come in from Los Angeles, San Diego, Seattle, Portland, Phoenix, Denver, Dallas and more.
San Francisco International (SFO): about 58 miles, 1 hour 15 minutes, and longer at busy times. The most flights, with a drive across the Bay Area.
Sacramento (SMF): about 63 miles, 1 hour 20 minutes. Skips Bay Area traffic entirely, though it is the longest drive of the four.

About 20 minutes away. A food hall of local vendors in downtown Napa, from oysters to tacos, with tables inside and on the riverside deck. Prefer a picnic? We can arrange a catered picnic at a winery that allows one; the cost is quoted when you book.

About 10 minutes away. Spring Mountain Cabernet from the Frias family, who bought their 100 acres above St. Helena in 1977, poured at their Napa Tasting Salon in north Napa. The tasting is $85, waived with six bottles of Cabernet per couple. Private appointments only.

About 15 minutes away. A Silverado Trail estate founded in 1977, rebuilt after the 2017 Atlas Fire and reopened in 2024 with more than 11,000 square feet of caves. The Estate Social Tasting is $50 and the Legacy Tasting in the caves is $125. By reservation.
