Candlelight Inn is an adults-only bed and breakfast in a 1929 English Tudor home, set on an acre of gardens on Easum Drive west of downtown Napa. It has 11 individually styled guest rooms, including the Creekside Cottage with a deck above Napa Creek.
Many rooms have a two-person Jacuzzi tub, a fireplace and a private deck or balcony. A plated three-course breakfast is served from 8 to 9:30 a.m., and the outdoor heated pool is open year-round. Parking is complimentary, with a Tesla charging stall, and pets are not allowed.
It is also an easy place to start a wine tour. Trefethen Family Vineyards, Saintsbury and Domaine Carneros are all within about 15 minutes, and Yountville is about 20 minutes north. We are based in Calistoga, at the north end of the valley.
Oakland (OAK): about 53 miles, 1 hour 10 minutes. The closest airport to Candlelight Inn, and often quieter than SFO.
Sonoma County Airport (STS): about 45 miles, 1 hour 15 minutes. Often the easiest arrival: a small airport in Santa Rosa with no Bay Area traffic on the drive. Direct flights come in from Los Angeles, San Diego, Seattle, Portland, Phoenix, Denver, Dallas and more.
San Francisco International (SFO): about 61 miles, 1 hour 20 minutes, and longer at busy times. The most flights, with a drive across the Bay Area.
Sacramento (SMF): about 66 miles, 1 hour 25 minutes. Skips Bay Area traffic entirely, though it is the longest drive of the four.
Flying private? We also meet guests at the FBOs at STS and Napa County Airport (APC). See our Sonoma County Airport car service page for more on flying into STS.
