Book Your Ride or Wine Tour
Wildhaven Sonoma is a glamping resort on 10 riverfront acres along the Russian River in Alexander Valley, about 10 minutes from downtown Healdsburg. Guests stay in safari-style canvas tents with heated mattress pads and patios, or in glamping cabins with air conditioning, heat and skylights.
There is a third of a mile of private riverfront with a swimming hole, a fire pit at every tent and cabin, shared gas barbecues, a central bathroom building with hot showers, and a camp store. Yoga, wine tastings and live music are complimentary, and up to two dogs are welcome for a fee.
It is also an easy place to start a wine tour. Jordan, Medlock Ames and Silver Oak are all within about 5 minutes, and Dry Creek Valley is about 15 minutes west. We are based in Calistoga, about half an hour away over the hills.
Sonoma County Airport (STS): about 16 miles, 25 minutes. The closest airport to Wildhaven Sonoma, and the easiest arrival: a small airport in Santa Rosa with no Bay Area traffic on the drive. Direct flights come in from Los Angeles, San Diego, Seattle, Portland, Phoenix, Denver, Dallas and more.
Oakland (OAK): about 88 miles, 2 hours 5 minutes. Often a quieter airport than SFO.
San Francisco International (SFO): about 88 miles, 2 hours 10 minutes, and longer at busy times. The most flights, with a drive across the Bay Area.
Sacramento (SMF): about 109 miles, 2 hours 25 minutes. Skips Bay Area traffic entirely, though it is the longest drive of the four.
Flying private? We also meet guests at the FBOs at STS and Napa County Airport (APC). See our Sonoma County Airport car service page for more on flying into STS.
