Vinarosa Resort & Spa sits on a 92-acre working vineyard estate in the Russian River Valley, on the north side of Santa Rosa. Formerly Vintners Resort, it reopened under the Vinarosa name in July 2025 after a major renovation. It is rated AAA Four Diamond.
John Ash is the resort's restaurant, with The Front Room bar and lounge and The Parlor for coffee and wine in the lobby. There is a pool with cabanas and a pool bar, a hot tub, fire pits, a vineyard trail and The Spa at Vinarosa. Pets are welcome for a fee.
It is also an easy place to start a wine tour. Martinelli Winery, Bob Cabral Wines and Kendall-Jackson Wine Estate & Gardens are all within about 15 minutes. We are based in Calistoga, in neighboring Napa Valley.
Sonoma County Airport (STS): about 4 miles, 10 minutes. The closest airport to Vinarosa, and the easiest arrival: a small airport in Santa Rosa with no Bay Area traffic on the drive. Direct flights come in from Los Angeles, San Diego, Seattle, Portland, Phoenix, Denver, Dallas and more.
Oakland (OAK): about 72 miles, 1 hour 30 minutes. Often a quieter airport than SFO.
San Francisco International (SFO): about 72 miles, 1 hour 35 minutes, and longer at busy times. The most flights, with a drive across the Bay Area.
Sacramento (SMF): about 104 miles, around 2 hours. Skips Bay Area traffic entirely, though it is the longest drive of the four.
Flying private? We also meet guests at the FBOs at STS and Napa County Airport (APC). See our Sonoma County Airport car service page for more on flying into STS.
