Cecil and Christine DeLoach bought 24 acres on the Olivet Bench in 1970 and in 1973 were among the first to plant Pinot Noir there. Their first vintage was 1975, and they were leaders of the movement that won the Russian River Valley its appellation in 1983. Boisset Family Estates, led by Jean-Charles Boisset, bought DeLoach in 2003, and it is part of the Boisset Collection.
The Boissets replanted the estate using organic and Biodynamic farming. The estate vineyard of almost 17 acres was certified organic by CCOF in 2008 and Biodynamic by Demeter in 2009. In the cellar, DeLoach ferments in open-top wood tanks with native yeasts, punches down by hand and uses whole clusters for some Pinot Noir, making single-vineyard Pinot Noir, Chardonnay and Zinfandel.
Tastings of single-vineyard wines are poured at the bar or in the courtyard garden, with cheese pairings, and an estate and cellar tour runs Friday to Sunday afternoons. Guests can also walk the Theater of Nature, a Biodynamic garden with chickens, a beehive and vegetable and herb beds.
$35 for the Single Vineyard bar tasting and $45 for the courtyard tasting. $55 for the Wine & Cheese Tasting and $65 for the Burgundy Sonoma Tasting with cheese. $65 for the Vineyard to Cellar estate tour and tasting. $50 per picnic table, refunded with a three-bottle purchase.
Tasting fees as of September 2026. Wineries set and collect their own fees, and they change from time to time.
