Owner and winemaker Kathleen Inman's regeneratively farmed Pinot Noir estate on the Santa Rosa Plains, and a suggested six-hour day of tasting around it.

Kathleen Inman, a Napa Valley native, spent 16 years in England after college, training as a chartered accountant, earning an MBA and working in executive search, before returning to California in 1998. She planted the 10.45-acre Olivet Grange Vineyard in 2000 and launched Inman Family Wines in 2002. She is owner, winemaker and general manager of the woman-owned winery.
Inman makes naturally lower-alcohol, high-acid, food-friendly wines: Pinot Noir, Pinot Gris, Chardonnay, sparkling wines and Endless Crush, a direct-to-press rosé of Pinot Noir she has made since 2004. In 2002 hers was the first new California luxury brand to launch with only screwcap closures. The estate is farmed regeneratively, with cover crops, no tilling and compost made from food scraps, and has been certified sustainable by Sonoma County since 2016.
The winery, built in 2010, is made largely from recycled materials, including tasting room woodwork from the barn it replaced, and runs entirely on solar power. Tastings are on the patio beside the Pinot Noir vineyard or in the tasting room, and Kathleen is often on site. Her Meet the Maker tasting is private and seated, and a seasonal Sip and Stroll walks the vineyard and garden with her.
$30 for the Estate Tasting, usually at least five wines, refunded with a $150 purchase. $100 for Meet the Maker, a private seated tasting with Kathleen Inman. $95 for the seasonal Sip and Stroll vineyard and garden tour, 90 minutes. Tastings are free for club members and up to three guests.
Tasting fees as of September 2026. Wineries set and collect their own fees, and they change from time to time.
