Rosewood Calistoga is a new resort on 118 acres of forested ridgeline above Calistoga, overlooking the north end of Napa Valley. It is scheduled to open in 2027, with 129 guest rooms, suites and residences, including 20 private villas, in a design by Atelier Marsh that carries forward the original vision of architect Ed Tuttle.
Once open, it will have an Asaya spa with six treatment rooms, hydrotherapy, an outdoor garden and a fitness center, plus two pools, one for adults and one for families. Dining is planned around a signature earth-to-table restaurant fed by the estate gardens, a cocktail bar and a poolside restaurant with vineyard views, and there is a Rosewood Explorers club for children.
It is also an easy place to start a wine tour. Rivers-Marie, Barrett & Barrett at La Sirena and Sterling Vineyards are all within about 5 minutes. We are based in Calistoga too.
Sonoma County Airport (STS): about 19 miles, 35 minutes. The closest airport to Rosewood Calistoga, and the easiest arrival: a small airport in Santa Rosa with no Bay Area traffic on the drive. Direct flights come in from Los Angeles, San Diego, Seattle, Portland, Phoenix, Denver, Dallas and more.
Oakland (OAK): about 77 miles, 1 hour 45 minutes. Often a quieter airport than SFO.
San Francisco International (SFO): about 85 miles, 1 hour 55 minutes, and longer at busy times. The most flights, with a drive across the Bay Area.
Sacramento (SMF): about 90 miles, 2 hours. Skips Bay Area traffic entirely, though it is the longest drive of the four.
Flying private? We also meet guests at the FBOs at STS and Napa County Airport (APC). See our Sonoma County Airport car service page for more on flying into STS.
