About the Winery
Barrett & Barrett is the first joint winemaking project of husband and wife Bo and Heidi Barrett, launched in 2008. Bo has worked at Chateau Montelena since 1972 and has grown Cabernet in these Calistoga vineyards since 1973. Heidi made her name with Screaming Eagle and Dalla Valle, and a six-liter bottle of her 1992 Screaming Eagle sold for $500,000 at the 2000 Napa Valley Wine Auction.
The couple make one wine each year: a small-production estate Cabernet Sauvignon from their own Calistoga vineyards, including the original Barrett vineyard at the foot of Mount St. Helena. It brings together Bo's long experience with Calistoga vineyards and Heidi's balanced, layered style. Antonio Galloni gave the 2010 vintage 97 points, praising its structure and overall balance.
There is no Barrett & Barrett winery to visit. The wine is poured at La Sirena, Heidi's own label, in the tasting room she opened in spring 2026 at 810 Foothill Boulevard in Calistoga. The light-filled, barn-like room has vineyard views and doubles as a gallery for Heidi's paintings and ceramics, and guests often linger over the art. The Connoisseur Tasting pours two vintages each of La Sirena and Barrett & Barrett Cabernet Sauvignon.
Tasting Fees
$50 for the Signature Tasting (about 75 minutes) and $75 for the Artisan Tasting (about 90 minutes), both focused on La Sirena wines. $100 for the Connoisseur Tasting, about two hours, the one that includes two vintages of Barrett & Barrett Cabernet Sauvignon. Fees are refundable with a qualifying purchase.

Good to Know
All guests must be 21 or over, so children stay home. Pets are not allowed, apart from trained service animals. Groups are limited to 10 guests, and parties of 6 or more should reserve ahead.

Indian Springs, the historic hot springs resort on Lincoln Avenue, is about 5 minutes from the La Sirena tasting room on Foothill Boulevard, and Four Seasons Napa Valley, on the Silverado Trail in Calistoga, about 8 minutes. On Sundays the room opens at 11 a.m., so we pick up at 10:45 and the whole day moves 45 minutes later. The day runs about seven hours, back around 5:00 p.m., and extra time can be added by the hour.

About 12 minutes away. A small Diamond Mountain District estate on a Mayacamas slope ringed by about 75 acres of forest, with a little underground cave. The private Essence of Teachworth tasting is $100, 60 to 90 minutes, waived with the purchase of three estate wines. By appointment, booked ahead.

About 15 minutes away. Steep terraces between Mount St. Helena and the Palisades, toured by ATV before you sit down to taste; Michel Rolland has advised the estate since 2010. The Private Estate Tasting with the ATV tour is $100, about 75 minutes (waived with three bottles of red per person). By appointment, with times from about 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The La Sirena tasting room is closed on Tuesdays and opens at 11 a.m. on Sundays, when the day shifts 45 minutes later. Solbar serves lunch Monday to Saturday, so on Sundays we book lunch elsewhere in Calistoga. The day runs about seven hours, back around 5:00 p.m.
