Harvest Inn sits on eight acres of lawns, gardens and fountains at the south end of St. Helena, beside the vines on Highway 29. It opened in 1975 and is locally owned, with rooms ranging from garden guest rooms to vineyard-view suites, some with private hot tubs.
There are two heated pools, each with a hot tub, one of them for adults only, plus a bocce court, fire pits and spa treatments with Health Spa Napa Valley. Harvest Table is the inn's restaurant, with a bar and terrace, and the inn is dog-friendly.
It is also an easy place to start a wine tour. HALL St. Helena, Flora Springs Winery and Heitz Cellar are all within about 5 minutes, and Calistoga is about 15 minutes north. We are based in Calistoga, a short drive up the valley.
Sonoma County Airport (STS): about 28 miles, 50 minutes. The closest airport to Harvest Inn and the easiest arrival: a short drive over the hills from Santa Rosa, with no Bay Area traffic. Direct flights come in from Los Angeles, San Diego, Seattle, Portland, Phoenix, Denver, Dallas and more.
San Francisco International (SFO): about 76 miles, 1 hour 35 minutes, and 2 hours or more at busy times. The most flights, with the longest drive, across the Bay Area and up through Napa Valley.
Oakland (OAK): about 68 miles, 1 hour 25 minutes. Often a quieter airport than SFO, and a slightly shorter drive.
Sacramento (SMF): about 81 miles, about 1 hour 45 minutes. Skips Bay Area traffic entirely, though it is the longest drive of the four.
Flying private? We also meet guests at the FBOs at STS and Napa County Airport (APC). See our Sonoma County Airport car service page for more on flying into STS.
