About the Winery

Craig and Kathryn Hall bought the historic Bergfeld Winery on Highway 29 in 2003 and reopened it as HALL St. Helena. The property was once home to the Napa Valley Co-Op, and the original 1885 Bergfeld winery was restored in 2013.

In 2009 HALL St. Helena became the first winery in California to earn LEED Gold certification. Art is everywhere, from works in the tasting room to Bunny Foo Foo, a 35-foot stainless steel rabbit by Lawrence Argent that watches over Highway 29.

The wines are led by Cabernet Sauvignon from more than 500 acres of estate vineyards, made by winemaker Megan Gunderson. With walk-ins welcome, pizza at midday and lawn games, it is a lively stop for groups.

Tasting Fees

$45 for the Reflections of the Valley bar tasting, about 45 minutes. $60 for the Signature Tour, $90 for the Cabernet Collector tasting and $200 for the Platinum Experience. Private versions run from $75 to $250.

Tasting fees as of September 2026. Wineries set and collect their own fees, and they change from time to time.
