About the Property

h2hotel is a 36-room boutique hotel on Healdsburg Avenue, designed by San Francisco architect David Baker and certified LEED Gold. A living green roof planted with succulents tops the building, and rooms come as Eco-Kings, Eco-Studios and Eco-Suites.

There is a solar-heated pool by the creek, and bikes are free for three hours, with maps provided. Spoonbar, the hotel's California Mediterranean restaurant and bar, serves complimentary morning offerings. Dogs are welcome for $150.

It is also an easy place to start a wine tour. Rockpile Vineyards, Hirsch Vineyards and Stonestreet Estate Vineyards are all within about 5 minutes. We are based in Calistoga, in neighboring Napa Valley.

Getting Here From the Airport

Sonoma County Airport (STS): about 10 miles, 15 minutes. The closest airport to h2hotel, and the easiest arrival: a small airport in Santa Rosa with no Bay Area traffic on the drive. Direct flights come in from Los Angeles, San Diego, Seattle, Portland, Phoenix, Denver, Dallas and more.

Oakland (OAK): about 82 miles, 1 hour 45 minutes. Often a quieter airport than SFO.

San Francisco International (SFO): about 82 miles, 1 hour 50 minutes, and longer at busy times. The most flights, with a drive across the Bay Area.

Sacramento (SMF): about 114 miles, around 2 hours. Skips Bay Area traffic entirely, though it is the longest drive of the four.

About 5 minutes away. A country store since 1881 at the crossroads of Dry Creek Valley, with a deli for sandwiches, soups and salads, a front porch over the valley and a garden out back. Prefer a picnic? We can arrange a catered picnic at a winery that allows one; the cost is quoted when you book.

About 25 minutes away. CYRUS, Sin Zin and estate Cabernet on the old Cyrus Alexander homestead along Highway 128, family run since 1975. The Legacy Tasting Flight and the daily cave tour are complimentary, and the Estate tasting is $20. Walk-ins welcome; groups of 7 or more reserve.
