About the Winery

Van Dyk Family Wines was established in 2013 by a family that has spent 70 years caring for the elderly, through skilled nursing, assisted living, adult day care for Alzheimer's, memory care and home care. Vintner Bob Van Dyk started the label with one mission: to make fine wine and to raise money and awareness for seniors and families living with Alzheimer's.

The wines carry that mission in their names: Dignity Cabernet Sauvignon, Respect Chardonnay, Le Bel Age ("The Beautiful Age") Pinot Noir and Van Dyk Sauvignon Blanc. The family says it uses fruit from Napa vineyards and works with a seasoned winemaker, though it names neither. The shop lists Dignity Cabernet from the 2010 vintage onward, and each season a limited-edition selection is added.

Van Dyk Family Wines lists only Napa, a phone number and an email, with no tasting room, so it does not receive visitors. The wines are sold through the website and a wine club. The day below goes to three estates in Carneros and on the Silverado Trail that do host.

Tasting Fees

Van Dyk Family Wines does not offer tastings. On the day below, the tasting fees are $45 at Domaine Carneros, $80 at Artesa and $80 at Darioush, about $205 per person in all, paid directly to each winery.

Tasting fees as of October 2026. Wineries set and collect their own fees, and they change from time to time.
