Sorèlune is the label of owner and winemaker Nova Cadamatre, who in 2017 became the first woman winemaker in the United States to earn the Master of Wine title. She studied viticulture at Cornell University and was Senior Director of Winemaking at Robert Mondavi Winery. Her partner in the project is Jennifer R. Thomson, a fourth-generation grape grower and owner of Thomson Vineyards.
The wine is a Napa Valley Chardonnay from Thomson Vineyards in Carneros, which Sorèlune calls the cool-climate birthplace of California Chardonnay; the vineyard is in the Los Carneros AVA at the southern end of the valley. Sorèlune describes balanced fruit and bright acidity, "with just enough warmth to feel like the California sun is setting."
The first release is sold only in kegs to restaurants and bars for their by-the-glass programs, and bottles "may be available in the future." There is no tasting room or published address, so Sorèlune does not receive visitors, and the place to try it is on a wine list. The day below stays in Carneros and south Napa, at estates that do host.
Sorèlune does not offer tastings.
Tasting fees as of September 2026. Wineries set and collect their own fees, and they change from time to time.

Since Sorèlune does not host visitors, this day takes you to three sought-after estates nearby that do, all in Carneros and south Napa. Carneros Resort and Spa and Stanly Ranch, both set among the Carneros vineyards, are each about 10 minutes from the first stop. The day fits in about six hours, and extra time can be added by the hour.
About 10 minutes away. Toyon Farm in Carneros, 35 acres of vines first planted in 1993 beside the Hyde vineyard, whose fruit has gone into wines from Saintsbury and Alpha Omega. Private experiences by appointment; the fee is confirmed when we book. We allow about an hour.
About 10 minutes away. A Mount Veeder estate whose ridgetop vineyard was first planted in 1926, poured at sister winery Cuvaison in Carneros as a seated tasting of five estate wines with pairings by chef Aaron LeRoi. By reservation daily for 2 to 8 guests; tasting fees to be verified upon reservation. We allow about 75 minutes.
About 15 minutes away. Lunch at Angèle, a French brasserie on the Napa River in downtown Napa, serving lunch daily from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Prefer a picnic? We can arrange a catered picnic at a winery that allows one; the cost is quoted when you book.
About 12 minutes away. A Coombsville vineyard in the caldera at the southeast corner of the valley, planted in 2003, with a Vineyard Sauvignon Blanc Experience among the vines. By reservation; the fee is confirmed when we book. We allow about an hour.
Back by about 3:50 p.m., under six hours after pickup.
Tasting fees for all three estates are confirmed when we book; none publishes a price online. They are paid directly to each winery.
All three host by appointment or private request, so we confirm the times before the day is set. Three wineries is the right pace for a day of serious tasting.
Every tour is custom. This day is a starting point: your chauffeur will shape it around what matters to you, and we plan multi-day tours for guests who want to see more of wine country.
