Chris and Betsy Peacock made their home around this Spring Mountain vineyard in 1991, Chris described a lifelong search for places that were remote, wild and serene. Their daughter Rebecca Peacock, who ran a clothing store in Burlingame for 15 years, joined the family wine business in late 2013 and now leads it as proprietor.
The vineyard sits on a hilltop at about 1,000 feet in the Spring Mountain District, with 1.2 acres facing east and about 5 acres facing west. The soils are deep, rocky volcanic Aiken series, and the family dry farms its 35-year-old vines. The wines are made at Somerston Estate by winemaker Cody Hurd: estate Cabernet Sauvignon, Sauvignon Blanc and Rosé, plus MVP, a 100-case sparkling wine made with sommelier and vintner Meghan Vergara.
Peacock has no tasting room. The winery offers one-on-one private tastings with its vintner and sommelier, held outdoors on the hilltop with views over Napa Valley. Tastings are arranged by email; we send the request on your behalf and confirm what the family can offer for your date.
Peacock does not publish a tasting fee. The format and any cost of a private tasting are confirmed by the winery when the request is accepted.
Tasting fees as of September 2026. Wineries set and collect their own fees, and they change from time to time.
