Napa · Napa Valley
A family label of 100% Napa-sourced Cabernet, with recent bottlings from Stags Leap and Yountville and a website that doubles as a wine school. Elleary does not receive visitors; here is what to know, and a day at sought-after estates nearby that do host.

Elleary comes from Shawn and Vivien and Karimi Family Vineyards. The couple met in 2007 knowing little about wine and wondering why people pay thousands of dollars for a bottle. After years of tasting across California's wine regions they studied winemaking at UC Davis, then created Elleary with the help of seasoned Napa Valley winemakers, aiming for high quality at a reasonable price.
Every grape comes from Napa Valley vineyards. The list is mostly Cabernet Sauvignon: Napa Valley vintages from 2016 through 2019, a 2019 Merlot, and 2021 member releases that include a Stags Leap Cabernet and a Yountville Cabernet. There is also an estate Chardonnay from the Los Altos Hills and a 2023 Sonoma Sauvignon Blanc. The website doubles as a wine school, with pages on terroir, barrel aging and food pairing.
Elleary sells online to California addresses, and members save 20% on every bottle. It lists a winery suite on Enterprise Court in Napa, and while a tasting room is mentioned on the site, no hours, location or booking are published, so it does not receive visitors. Since its newest Cabernets come from Stags Leap and Yountville, the day below starts and ends in Yountville.
Elleary does not offer tastings.
Tasting fees as of September 2026. Wineries set and collect their own fees, and they change from time to time.

Pickup at 10:00 a.m. from a nearby hotel such as Bardessono or North Block Hotel.
Since Elleary does not host visitors, this day takes you to three sought-after estates nearby that do. Bardessono, an eco-minded luxury hotel, and North Block Hotel are both in Yountville, about 5 minutes from the first stop. The day runs about six hours, and extra time can be added by the hour.
About 5 minutes away. Russell Bevan's bold Oakville Cabernet and coastal Pinot Noir, poured at HQ Winery on Hoffman Lane just south of Yountville. Tastings are $75 to $200 depending on the experience; we plan about 75 minutes. By appointment, daily between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m.
About 20 minutes away. A family label pouring single-vineyard, single-variety wines from 15 of Napa Valley's sub-regions in a private estate tasting east of the city of Napa. The Vice Estate Experience is $145, prepaid, for 2 to 6 guests; we allow about 90 minutes. By appointment, Tuesday to Saturday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
About 15 minutes away. Lunch at Kitchen Door in downtown Napa, a sit-down restaurant on First Street. Lunch runs from 11:30 a.m. on weekdays and from 12:30 p.m. on weekends. Prefer a picnic? We can arrange a catered picnic at a winery that allows one; the cost is quoted when you book.
About 15 minutes away. A family-farmed winery pouring its own grapes in downtown Yountville. The seated Classic Wine Tasting is $40, waived with a $100 wine purchase; we allow about an hour. Walk-ins and appointments welcome, Thursday to Monday, 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Back by about 4:05 p.m., about six hours after pickup.
About $260 to $385 per person in tasting fees for the three wineries, paid directly to each winery.
The Vice hosts Tuesday to Saturday and Hill Family Estate Thursday to Monday, so plan this day for a Thursday, Friday or Saturday. Three wineries is the right pace for a day of serious tasting.
