Bill and Roxanne Wolf fell for the idea of growing grapes while living in Napa Valley, took more than 75 classes at UC Davis from 1998 and studied wine in France, Tuscany, Australia and New Zealand. In 1999 they left corporate careers and bought a 13-acre property in Gordon Valley with an old walnut orchard and a house that had stood empty for 15 years. Bill trained as a chef; Roxanne is an artist and designs the labels.
They planted the vineyard in 2000 and released their first Eagle Eye wine in October 2004. Nine acres of Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot grow on the valley floor, ringed by 300 Tuscan olive trees that make the AlphaWOLF Estate Extra Virgin Olive Oil, first bottled in 2008. Everything is grown, bottled and produced on the ranch, which is certified Napa Green and Fish Friendly Farming.
The wines and olive oil are sold online and through the Eagle Eye Wine & Olive Oil Club, which ships in March and November. The winery publishes no tasting program and does not receive visitors at the ranch. The day below takes you to three sought-after estates on the east side of Napa that do host, starting next door in Wooden Valley.
Eagle Eye Wine does not offer tastings.
Tasting fees as of September 2026. Wineries set and collect their own fees, and they change from time to time.
