Donna Belle is the personal label of Robert Jordan, a grape farmer with more than two decades in Napa Valley vineyards. In his words, his passion for wine grew while working in one of the many vineyards his company manages, until it became the dream of his own label, built on the best vineyards he farms. He dedicates it to his mother, Gloria Heintz, and the bow tie on the label honors his father.
The wines are made with Julien Fayard, who trained at Bordeaux châteaux including Lafite Rothschild and Smith Haut Lafite and worked alongside Philippe Melka in Napa. The Cabernet Sauvignon comes from the Oak Knoll District, from vines farmed without wire tie-downs for better sun exposure, and spends 17 to 23 months in French oak, mostly neutral. The Sauvignon Blanc comes from Ryan's Vineyard on Big Ranch Road, north of Napa.
The current releases are a 2016 Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon and a Napa Valley Sauvignon Blanc, sold on the winery's website or by phone. Donna Belle publishes no tasting room or visiting program, so it does not receive visitors. The day below stays in the southern valley near the Oak Knoll vineyards, at three family wineries that do host.
Donna Belle does not offer tastings.
Tasting fees as of September 2026. Wineries set and collect their own fees, and they change from time to time.

Since Donna Belle does not host visitors, this day takes you to three sought-after estates nearby that do. Silverado Resort, a golf and spa resort at the foot of Atlas Peak, is about 12 minutes from the first stop, and Milliken Creek Inn, a small inn beside the Napa River off the Silverado Trail, is about 15 minutes away. The day runs about six and a quarter hours, and extra time can be added by the hour.
About 12 minutes away. Race car driver Randy Lewis's Cabernet house, now pouring at a new estate on the Silverado Trail in the Stags Leap District, with pairings from a Michelin-starred chef. The Legacy Tasting is $80; we plan about an hour. Open daily 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.; reservations highly recommended, up to six guests per seating.
About 10 minutes away. Russell Bevan's bold Oakville Cabernet and coastal Pinot Noir, poured at HQ Winery on Hoffman Lane just south of Yountville. Tastings are $75 to $200 depending on the experience; we plan about 75 minutes. By appointment, daily between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m.
About 8 minutes away. Lunch at Bistro Don Giovanni, an Italian restaurant among the vineyards on Howard Lane, a valley favorite for more than 30 years, open daily from 11:30 a.m. Prefer a picnic? We can arrange a catered picnic at a winery that allows one; the cost is quoted when you book.
About 15 minutes away. A family label pouring single-vineyard, single-variety wines from 15 of Napa Valley's sub-regions in a private estate tasting east of the city of Napa. The Vice Estate Experience is $145, prepaid, for 2 to 6 guests; we allow about 90 minutes. By appointment, Tuesday to Saturday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Back by about 4:15 p.m., about six and a quarter hours after pickup.
About $300 to $425 per person in tasting fees for the three wineries, paid directly to each winery.
The Vice hosts Tuesday to Saturday, so plan this day for one of those days. The day runs a little past six hours; extra time is billed by the hour. Three wineries is the right pace for a day of serious tasting.
