About the Winery
As One Cru was founded in 2016 by vintner Chris Radomski, who co-founded the Hundred Acre Wine Group with Jayson Woodbridge. As Radomski told Wine Spectator, it began when a group of good friends got together, among them a hockey player and a chef, and the circle now includes top chefs and sommeliers. In 2024 Grammy-winning musician Darius Rucker joined and takes part in tastings and blending.
The idea is inclusivity rather than exclusivity: small-lot, terroir-driven wines from acclaimed vineyards in Napa Valley, Sonoma County and Oregon's Willamette Valley, at prices meant for a wider audience. From Napa come a Carneros Pinot Noir and a Howell Mountain Cabernet Sauvignon. The range also includes Cabernet Franc, Chardonnay and the Chez Gran Cru sparkling wine.
The wines are sold through the online shop at asonecruwines.com and in restaurants, and the Cru Uncorked video series pairs them with food alongside Rucker and guest chefs. As One Cru publishes no tasting room or visiting program, so it does not receive visitors; questions go to Radomski by email. The day below takes you to three Napa estates that do.

Since As One Cru does not host visitors, this day takes you to three sought-after estates nearby that do, starting in Carneros, where As One Cru sources its Pinot Noir. Carneros Resort and Spa and Stanly Ranch are each a few minutes from the first stop. The day fits about six hours, and extra time can be added by the hour.
10:15 · Hyde Vineyards Estate
About 5 minutes away. A Carneros estate around a vineyard planted in 1979, where you choose a private room, the tasting bar or the terrace over the vines. The estate tasting is $75, about 75 minutes. By reservation, daily 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
11:40 · Perliss Estate
About 12 minutes away. Estate Cabernet, Sémillon and amphora-aged wines by winemaker Aaron Pott, poured at Blackbird Vineyards' tasting room on Latour Court in south Napa. $80 to $110; we allow about an hour. By reservation.
12:50 · Lunch at Angèle
About 10 minutes away. Lunch at Angèle, a French brasserie on the Napa River in downtown Napa, serving lunch daily from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Prefer a picnic? We can arrange a catered picnic at a winery that allows one; the cost is quoted when you book.

About 12 minutes away. Owners Anne and George host every visit themselves, moving between the terrace, the winery and the caves, with music paired to the wines. The hosted experience is $80; we allow about 90 minutes (visits can run up to two hours). By appointment.
