Perliss Estate

About the Winery

Perliss Estate is a small family vineyard in the far north of Napa Valley, near the Knights Valley line on Highway 128, created by Anthony Perliss with winemaker Aaron Pott. Planting began in 2008 and the first harvest came in 2011. The Napa Valley Register reported that the vineyard came through the 2017 fires about 97 percent intact, though Perliss lost his home.

Pott, who trained in France and was once winemaker at Quintessa, has overseen the vineyard since the beginning. The current lineup is The Serpents (Sémillon), Snakeskin (an orange wine), The Heron (Petit Verdot) and Pearl of the Ravens (estate Cabernet Sauvignon), with wines aged in Tuscan terracotta amphorae as well as French barrels. Allocations go to the Conspiracy membership and the mailing list.

The vineyard itself does not host. Perliss pours its wines at Blackbird Vineyards' tasting room on Latour Court in south Napa, under Pott's direction, booked on Tock: a Current Release flight, or Current Release plus back vintages of The Serpents and The Ravens, for 1 to 8 guests. It is an easy start to a south-valley day.

Tasting Fees

$80 to $110 per person for the Perliss Estate Tasting, a choice of the Current Release flight or the Current Release + Library flight. The length is not published; we allow about an hour.

Tasting fees as of September 2026. Wineries set and collect their own fees, and they change from time to time.
