About the Property
The Woods Cottages & Cabins is an adult hotel in downtown Guerneville, with balcony rooms, cottages and cabins a short walk from the Russian River. It is gay-owned and welcomes LGBTQ+ guests, and it is not recommended for minors.
The pool is open year-round and solar-heated from May through October, kitchenettes are available, and Wi-Fi and parking are free, with eight EV charging stations at no cost. Three rooms are set aside for well-behaved dogs.
It is also an easy place to start a wine tour. Equality Vines is a short walk away on Main Street, and Korbel Champagne Cellars is about 5 minutes east. We are based in Calistoga, in neighboring Napa Valley.
Getting Here From the Airport
Sonoma County Airport (STS): about 15 miles, 35 minutes. The closest airport to The Woods, and the easiest arrival: a small airport in Santa Rosa with no Bay Area traffic on the drive. Direct flights come in from Los Angeles, San Diego, Seattle, Portland, Phoenix, Denver, Dallas and more.
Oakland (OAK): about 82 miles, 2 hours 5 minutes. Often a quieter airport than SFO.
San Francisco International (SFO): about 82 miles, 2 hours 10 minutes, and longer at busy times. The most flights, with a drive across the Bay Area.
Sacramento (SMF): about 111 miles, 2 hours 50 minutes. Skips Bay Area traffic entirely, though it is the longest drive of the four.

About 5 minutes away. Library tastings on a historic Forestville winery property. The Wine Tasting Flight is $20 to $30. Open from 11:30 a.m.; reservations recommended.

About 15 minutes away. Single-vineyard Pinot Noir and Chardonnay from a hilltop winery on Westside Road. The Discovery Tasting is $55 and runs about 90 minutes, outdoors.
