About the Winery

Ryme Cellars is the winery of Ryan and Megan Glaab, who met as seasonal cellar hands at Torbreck in Australia and later worked at Pax Wine Cellars, Peay Vineyards, Sine Qua Non and Marcassin. They started Ryme in 2007 with a single ton of Aglianico.

Most of the wines come from Italian varieties: Aglianico, two Vermentinos, Ribolla Gialla and Fiano, alongside Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon and, since 2011, Sonoma County Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. The fruit comes from organic or sustainably farmed vineyards, and the winemaking is simple: native yeasts, no fining or filtering, and used French oak barrels. Many reds ferment with their stems and many whites on their skins.

Tastings are by appointment at the winery in downtown Forestville, on the West County Trail. It is a relaxed, unpolished visit, and a good one for anyone curious about grapes they rarely see on a Sonoma wine list. We confirm current details when we book.

Tasting Fees

$35 per person for a guided tasting of current-release wines, prepaid when you reserve. Larger parties book a group tasting at $45 per person plus a service charge. We confirm the current price when we book.

Tasting fees as of October 2026. Wineries set and collect their own fees, and they change from time to time.
