About the Property
Hotel La Rose was built in 1907 by Italian stonemasons from local stone, in the heart of Santa Rosa's Railroad Square. It has been on the National Register of Historic Places since 1978 and a member of Historic Hotels of America since 1996. Its 48 rooms are split between the historic Main Building and the Carriage House.
Main Building rooms have antique furnishings and marble baths, and Carriage House rooms and junior suites have balconies or patios. Grossman's Bar is on site. Pets are not allowed, except service animals.
It is also an easy place to start a wine tour. Bob Cabral Wines, Kendall-Jackson Wine Estate & Gardens and Paradise Ridge Winery are all within about 15 minutes. We are based in Calistoga, in neighboring Napa Valley.
Getting Here From the Airport
Sonoma County Airport (STS): about 8 miles, 15 minutes. The closest airport to Hotel La Rose, and the easiest arrival: a small airport in Santa Rosa with no Bay Area traffic on the drive. Direct flights come in from Los Angeles, San Diego, Seattle, Portland, Phoenix, Denver, Dallas and more.
Oakland (OAK): about 67 miles, 1 hour 25 minutes. Often a quieter airport than SFO.
San Francisco International (SFO): about 68 miles, 1 hour 30 minutes, and longer at busy times. The most flights, with a drive across the Bay Area.
