About the Property
Bodega Bay Inn is a family-run boutique inn just off Highway 1, about 300 yards above Bodega Bay, run by the same family since 1983. The building was originally an art gallery, and the inn still shows work by local artists.
Every room has a California king bed and a private bath, and some have bay views. There is no restaurant, but a shared kitchen lounge has coffee, tea and a fridge, and the Michelin-starred Terrapin Creek is next door. Some rooms are dog friendly.
It is also an easy place to start a wine tour. Sonoma Coast Vineyards, Black Kite Cellars and Littorai Wines are all within about 30 minutes. We are based in Calistoga, in neighboring Napa Valley.
Getting Here From the Airport
Sonoma County Airport (STS): about 27 miles, 55 minutes. The closest airport to Bodega Bay Inn, and the easiest arrival: a small airport in Santa Rosa with no Bay Area traffic on the drive. Direct flights come in from Los Angeles, San Diego, Seattle, Portland, Phoenix, Denver, Dallas and more.
Oakland (OAK): about 80 miles, 2 hours. Often a quieter airport than SFO.
San Francisco International (SFO): about 80 miles, 2 hours 5 minutes, and longer at busy times. The most flights, with a drive across the Bay Area.
Sacramento (SMF): about 112 miles, 2 hours 45 minutes. Skips Bay Area traffic entirely, though it is the longest drive of the four.

About 5 minutes away. Single-vineyard Pinot Noir from coastal California, including its own Graton Ridge and Nevina's vineyards. The tasting is $30, refunded with a two-bottle purchase. Open daily from 10:30 a.m.; book ahead.

About 35 minutes away. Back by 4:00 p.m., six hours after pickup.

Adds about an hour. Cool-climate Pinot Noir, Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc on Highway 1 at the edge of Bodega Bay, with a view over the bay. The Taste of the Coast flight of four wines is $35 and runs about an hour. Open daily from 11 a.m.; walk-ins as space allows.
