Two Amigos is the winery of two best friends of more than 60 years who call themselves Vito and Guido Vino, the "Brothers of the Grape." Vito has been making wine for more than 30 years, and Guido, known to guests as Bob, hosts. Both and their wives are longtime Sonoma County residents, and the winery's videos and newsletters are written with a wink: "Come Sniff, Sip and Giggle with us!"
The wines come from the estate in the hills of Glen Ellen. The flagship is Estate Syrah from the upper vineyard, and Tirare il Dito, a blend of estate Syrah and Cabernet Sauvignon, won Double Gold, Best of Class and 98 points at the Sonoma International Film Festival wine competition in 2024. There is also a dry Syrah rosé.
The old tasting room in the town of Sonoma has moved to the winery itself, so every visit is now a private, guided tour of the winery, estate and vineyards with a tasting poured by the owners. At harvest you may find the winemaker at work, and the views over the hills are part of the visit.
Tasting fees to be verified upon reservation.
Tasting fees as of September 2026. Wineries set and collect their own fees, and they change from time to time.

About 20 minutes away. Greg and Lindsay Hamilton's family winery in Kenwood, built around Grenache and the other Rhône grapes, with tastings in an olive grove, cabanas or the tasting room. The Rhône Table pours their tiny-lot Grenache, Mourvèdre and Syrah side by side, then the GSM blend, with a cheese and charcuterie board, about 75 minutes ($75). Book 48 hours ahead; open daily 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., final hosted tasting at 4.

About 10 minutes away. The Belmonte family's Glen Ellen estate, with old-vine Zinfandel dating to 1882 and a tasting room redesigned in 2024; the best seats are under the olive trees beside the vineyard. The Vineyard Reserve Tasting & Tour pours six wines with a charcuterie board and a walk through the vines and the winery ($50); the Bar Tasting is $30. Open daily from 10 a.m.; the seated tastings are by reservation.
Back in Glen Ellen by 3:55 p.m., within six hours of pickup.
Three wineries is the right pace for a day of serious tasting. Two Amigos takes very few reservations, so we request the visit first and build the day around it. The Rhône Table at Hamilton includes a cheese and charcuterie board, so a light, late lunch from the village market is plenty.
About $105 to $125 per person in tasting fees for Hamilton Family Wines and Wellington Cellars, paid directly to each winery; the Two Amigos fee is to be verified upon reservation.
