About the Winery

North Coast Wine Co. belongs to the sixth generation of the Phillips family, growers raised among California's grapevines: Connor, Joseph, Melissa and Kevin. They are the children of brothers Michael and David Phillips, co-owners of Michael David Winery in Lodi. The family bought a Geyserville winery in April 2017 and renamed it North Coast Wine Co. in 2021, with Melissa Phillips Stroud leading sales and marketing.

The company's first brand is Outerbound, released in April 2021. The wines draw on the AVAs of California's North Coast, and the company describes Alexander Valley, the home of its estate, as an especially good place for Cabernet Sauvignon. Its address is on Chianti Road near Cloverdale, at the top of the valley.

The wines are sold online, and there is a trade page for restaurants and retailers. There is no tasting room or visit program, so the day below goes to three wineries nearby in Geyserville and Alexander Valley that do host.

Tasting Fees

North Coast Wine Co. does not offer tastings.

On the day below, Trentadue's Estate Wine Tasting, deLorimier's five-wine flight and Mercury's tasting are each $25 per person.

Tasting fees as of October 2026. Wineries set and collect their own fees, and they change from time to time.
