Raghni Naidu was born and raised in Punjab, India, moved to Melbourne at 18, met her husband, Kaushick Naidu, there and later settled with him in San Francisco. A family road trip from Monte Carlo to Barcelona by way of Les Baux-de-Provence set her looking for a personal wine country setting at home, and she found a Pinot Noir vineyard that a second-generation Italian American couple had farmed for more than 30 years. She founded Naidu Wines there in 2020; the winery describes her as the first Indian immigrant woman to establish a winery in the United States.
The estate sits where the Russian River Valley meets the Sonoma Coast, on Goldridge soil with coastal breezes and morning fog, and every block is tended by hand. The range is deliberately wide: Pinot Noir and Chardonnay, sparkling wine, Viognier, Rosé and single-vineyard Cabernet Franc, made with a light touch in the cellar. The wines have been poured at Michelin-starred restaurants and James Beard Foundation events, and Wine Enthusiast's Tom Capo gave the 2022 Russian River Valley Pinot Noir 95 points.
The visit is the reason to come. Raghni hosts a two-hour estate experience that starts with a seated tasting and a cheese and charcuterie plate from a local creamery, then a guided walk through the vineyard with a glass of Estate Pinot Noir. The setting is a quiet knoll in the hills with vineyard views, and the family also rents a remodeled estate house for stays.
The two-hour estate experience includes a seated tasting, a cheese and charcuterie plate and a vineyard walk. Tasting fees to be verified upon reservation.
Tasting fees as of September 2026. Wineries set and collect their own fees, and they change from time to time.
