Fathia Wines is owned by Pedro and Jenny Rodriguez. Pedro started in wine in the summer of 2003, right after high school, working a bottling season and then his first harvest. After a decade in sales he came back to the industry in 2015, inspired by his family's years of work in Napa and Sonoma vineyards and wineries, took a year-round cellar job at Patz & Hall and studied winemaking at Napa Valley College. In 2019 he and Jenny acquired Fathia, whose name means victorious; the hummingbird on the label stands for strength and hope.
Pedro is the winemaker. Fathia makes premium single-varietal wines, naturally fermented, from Napa and Sonoma Valley fruit: Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, rosé of Pinot Noir, Pinot Noir and Cabernet Sauvignon, made for elegance, finesse and balance. "Napa bred. Sonoma proud," as the winery puts it.
Fathia has a small tasting room on the Sonoma Highway in Kenwood, but its site says tastings are currently unavailable, and the winery invites customers to call or email to place an order. Wines are also sold online and through the wine club. For a day in the valley, we take you instead to three estates nearby that host guests.
Fathia does not offer tastings at present. When tastings run, the Classic Tasting of five wines is listed at $30 and the Red Wine Tasting at $40, with an optional chocolate pairing for $20 more.
Tasting fees as of September 2026. Wineries set and collect their own fees, and they change from time to time.

Pickup at 10:30 a.m. from a Glen Ellen hotel such as Gaige House or Olea Hotel.
Gaige House, a Japanese-inspired inn along Calabazas Creek in Glen Ellen, and Olea Hotel, a small hotel on Warm Springs Road in Glen Ellen, are about 30 and 25 minutes from Coursey Graves, the first stop. The day below fits a six-hour tour, and extra time can be added by the hour.
Since Fathia does not host visitors at present, this day takes you to three sought-after estates nearby that do. About 30 minutes away. John and Denise Graves's estate 1,500 feet up Bennett Mountain, with buildings by architect Charles Stinson set into the hillside, gardens around a pond and views toward the coast. The Semi-Private Tasting is $75, about an hour, and the Private Vista Experience, with charcuterie and a dedicated host, $110. By appointment, seven days a week.
About 30 minutes away. A steakhouse, seafood grill and oyster bar among the vineyards on the Sonoma Highway in Kenwood, with craft cocktails and tables overlooking a koi pond. Lunch is served Thursday to Tuesday from 11 a.m. Prefer a picnic? We can arrange a catered picnic at a winery that allows one; the cost is quoted when you book.
About 5 minutes away. Greg and Lindsay Hamilton's family winery in Kenwood, built around Grenache and the other Rhône grapes, with tastings in an olive grove, in cabanas or in the tasting room. The Rhône Table pours their tiny-lot Grenache, Mourvèdre and Syrah side by side, then the blend, with a cheese and charcuterie board, about 75 minutes ($75). Book 48 hours ahead; open daily 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., final hosted tasting at 4.
About 5 minutes away. Michael Muscardini's Italian-style winery, pouring Sangiovese, Barbera and Super Tuscan-style blends inside a historic schoolhouse on the Sonoma Highway. The Classico Tasting is $40, with a charcuterie board for $35 more. Reservations strongly recommended; tastings booked daily from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Back in Glen Ellen by 4:25 p.m., within six hours of pickup.
Three wineries is the right pace for a relaxed day. Salt+Stone serves lunch every day but Wednesday, and Hamilton's Rhône Table needs 48 hours' notice, so we book it with the rest of the day.
About $190 per person in tasting fees for the three wineries, paid directly to each winery.
