About the Winery

White Rabbit began in January 2024, when a group of local Napa Valley families with deep roots in winemaking bought a 12.5-acre vineyard on Atlas Peak. They named it after a ski run, the kind that leads to hidden, exploratory terrain, and say the project grew from a shared love of Napa's vineyards and its mountain landscape.

The vineyard sits at 2,000 feet in the Atlas Peak AVA, planted in 2004 to Clone 181 Merlot in volcanic, iron-rich soils with excellent drainage. The wine is a single-vineyard Merlot. The 2024 vintage came to about 150 cases at 14.9 percent alcohol, offered at $75 a bottle through the winery's Atlas Reserve allocation.

White Rabbit sells through that allocation and by direct contact with its team. There is no tasting room, and the website lists no tours or visits. Since White Rabbit does not host, the day below takes you to three sought-after estates nearby that do, starting high on Atlas Peak itself.
