Vintner's Diary is the rosé label of Vanessa Robledo, founded in 2023 with her daughter, Jocelyn, and her mother, Maria: three generations of Latina vintners. Vanessa comes from generations of Mexican master grape grafters who began as vineyard workers in Sonoma and Napa in the 1940s, and she grew up in the business, translating for her father in meetings by age 12.
At 19 she launched Robledo Family Winery for her father, securing permits and designing packaging, and she later served as its president; Vintner's Diary describes it as the first winery in the United States founded by Mexican vineyard workers. Vintner's Diary is her own brand, built on the idea that wine intimidation is common and the family makes it simple.
The debut was a 2022 Rosé of Grenache from the Napa Valley AVA, just 150 cases, and the rosé was featured at BottleRock Napa Valley in 2024. The wine is sold in the online shop and a wine club with three shipments a year. Vintner's Diary does not publish a tasting room or tastings, so the day below takes you to three estates nearby that do host.
Vintner's Diary does not offer tastings.
Tasting fees as of September 2026. Wineries set and collect their own fees, and they change from time to time.

Since Vintner's Diary does not host visitors, this day takes you to three sought-after estates nearby that do. Carneros Resort and Spa and Stanly Ranch, both set among the Carneros vineyards, are each about 10 minutes from the first stop. The day below fits a six-hour tour, and extra time can be added by the hour.
About 10 minutes away. Toyon Farm in Carneros, 35 acres of vines first planted in 1993 beside the Hyde vineyard, whose fruit has gone into wines from Saintsbury and Alpha Omega. Private experiences by appointment; the fee is confirmed when we book. We allow about an hour.
About 20 minutes away. Single-vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc from Lisa Chu's steep volcanic vineyards on Mount Veeder, with a Seasonal Vineyard Walk among the vines from late spring to early fall. A limited number of private tastings each year, hosted by the owners; the place and fee are confirmed when we book. We allow about an hour.
About 20 minutes away. Lunch at Boon Fly Café at Carneros Resort, open daily with its brunch menu served from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. Prefer a picnic? We can arrange a catered picnic at a winery that allows one; the cost is quoted when you book.
About 20 minutes away. A ten-acre Oak Knoll estate planted to Syrah, Cabernet Franc, Viognier and Malbec, farmed without herbicides or pesticides with help from bluebirds, bats and barn owls. Private tastings for a small number of guests each week; the fee is confirmed when we book. We allow about an hour.
Back by about 3:45 p.m., under six hours after pickup.
Cavalli e Vigne, Majuscule Wine and Fortunati Vineyards do not publish tasting fees; each is confirmed when the visit is booked and paid directly to the winery.
Cavalli e Vigne, Majuscule and Fortunati host a small number of guests by appointment, so we send the requests early and confirm times before your day. Majuscule's vineyard walk runs late spring to early fall. Three wineries is the right pace for a day of serious tasting.
Every tour is custom. This day is a starting point: your chauffeur will shape it around what matters to you, and we plan multi-day tours for guests who want to see more of wine country.
