Book a Six-Hour Wine Tour
Saint Helena Winery was founded in 2000 to make estate-grown Cabernet Sauvignon for collectors who look beyond the big names. Winemaker Lindsey Wallingford and consulting winemaker Aaron Pott make three estate Cabernet Sauvignons, a Chardonnay and a few very small specialty wines, and much of each vintage goes to Reserve Members first.
The 13-acre estate sits on Pratt Avenue just north of town, in the St. Helena AVA, with the Napa River along its edge. Its three kinds of Bale loam come from alluvial fans off the mountains and from the river. See clone Cabernet, grown from Backus Vineyard budwood, is planted on old river gravel. The estate is certified by Fish Friendly Farming.
There is no public tasting room. A limited number of visits are offered at the estate house by prior appointment, in a quiet setting among the vines, with Spring Mountain to the west and Howell Mountain to the east. The winery asks for at least 24 hours' notice; we make the request on your behalf and confirm the format and any fee.
Saint Helena Winery does not publish a tasting fee. Any private visit and its cost are confirmed by the winery when the appointment is accepted.
Tasting fees as of September 2026. Wineries set and collect their own fees, and they change from time to time.
