The Redmon family came to St. Helena in the early 1970s and ran the A&W restaurant on Main Street for 35 years. Tom Redmon worked the front counter, got to know the town and put the profits into land. In the early 1980s he bought a 3.5-acre property that became the Redmon Estate Vineyard, and for years the family sold the grapes to local wineries.
Lisa Redmon started at the A&W at 13, earned a finance degree at the University of San Francisco and spent more than a decade in corporate sales before coming home to make wine. The estate block, on the west side of the St. Helena Bench in the St. Helena AVA, is Clone 6 Cabernet Sauvignon more than 50 years old, once dry-farmed and head-trained. She also makes Cabernet from Bruadair Vineyard on Mount Veeder and Immaculate Vineyard in Coombsville.
There is no tasting room. Club members get two complimentary tastings a year, and other visits are arranged privately with the winery by phone, text or email, which keeps it small and personal; the winery says its clients quickly become part of the Redmon family. We make the request on your behalf and confirm the time and any fee before your tour.
Tasting fees to be verified upon reservation. Wine club members receive two complimentary tastings a year for up to four guests.
Tasting fees as of September 2026. Wineries set and collect their own fees, and they change from time to time.

Pickup at 10:00 a.m. from a nearby hotel such as Harvest Inn or Alila Napa Valley.
Both hotels are in St. Helena, a few minutes from the Redmon family's corner of the valley: Harvest Inn, a vineyard-side resort at the south end of town, and Alila Napa Valley, a Hyatt resort on Main Street. Redmon hosts by private request, so the start time is set when the winery confirms; we plan on 10:15 and adjust the day if needed. The day below fits a six-hour tour, and extra time can be added by the hour.
A private tasting arranged with the winery; we confirm the place, time, length and any fee when the visit is set. Plan on about an hour.
About 20 minutes away. A Spring Mountain estate planted around a private lake, with a bocce court and a one-hole golf green, and home of the hand-etched flag magnum the family calls the Patriotic Pour. The Winery Tasting in the tasting room or on the patio is $95, waived with a minimum purchase (allow about an hour). By appointment, prepaid, with times from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
About 20 minutes away. Northern Italian cooking at Cook St. Helena on Main Street, a small local favorite open for lunch Monday to Friday from 11:30 a.m. Prefer a picnic? We can arrange a catered picnic at a winery that allows one; the cost is quoted when you book.
About 15 minutes away. A hillside winery built in 1984 with help from Silver Oak founder Justin Meyer, with views over Lake Hennessey and Pritchard Hill to San Pablo Bay. A seated, privately hosted tasting of current releases, about 75 minutes, is $100 per person or a three-bottle purchase per person. By advance reservation, seven days a week.
Back by about 4:00 p.m., six hours after pickup.
About $195 per person in tasting fees for Sherwin and Amizetta, plus any Redmon fee, which is confirmed when the visit is arranged; paid directly to each winery.
Cook St. Helena serves lunch Monday to Friday; on weekends we book another St. Helena lunch. Amizetta's Friday to Sunday visits book six or more weeks ahead.
