About the Winery

Quilt & Co. is the downtown Napa tasting room of Joe Wagner, a fifth-generation Napa winemaker who founded Copper Cane Wines and Spirits, a company separate from his family's Caymus winery. The room pours across his labels, among them Belle Glos vineyard-designate Pinot Noirs, Quilt Cabernet Sauvignon, Elouan and Böen, chosen as a customizable flight.

The tasting room fills a three-story brownstone at 813 Main Street, built in 1908, with an indoor wine lounge, sidewalk tables and what the winery calls downtown Napa's only rooftop tasting lounge, with views over the Napa River and the valley. Guests can also book a Belle Glos waxing session and dip a bottle in the brand's signature red wax to take home.

Tastings are paired with house-made dishes from a seasonal à la carte menu, and reservations are recommended. It is a relaxed, social stop rather than a vineyard estate, and since the room opens at noon most days, it works best in the afternoon, after a morning at a working winery up the valley. Parties of up to 25 can book.

Tasting Fees

$55 per person for the Quilt & Co. Tasting, a custom flight of Joe Wagner's wines. The VIP Belle Glos Waxing experience is priced when you reserve.

Tasting fees as of September 2026. Wineries set and collect their own fees, and they change from time to time.

Quilt & Co. opens at noon, so the morning starts at a working winery in Yountville and Quilt comes after lunch. Bardessono, an eco-luxury hotel, and Hotel Villagio are both in Yountville, a few minutes from the first stop. The day below runs a little over six hours, and extra time can be added by the hour.

10:15 · Bell Wine Cellars

About 5 minutes away. A working winery just outside downtown Yountville, devoted to single-clone Cabernet Sauvignon, where the Grape to Glass Tour & Tasting shows you how the wine is made. $60, about 90 minutes. Open daily 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. by appointment.

12:00 · Lunch at Bistro Don Giovanni

About 8 minutes away. Lunch at Bistro Don Giovanni, an Italian restaurant among the vineyards on Howard Lane, a valley favorite for more than 30 years, open daily from 11:30 a.m. Prefer a picnic? We can arrange a catered picnic at a winery that allows one; the cost is quoted when you book.

1:25 · Quilt & Co.

About 12 minutes away. The Quilt & Co. Tasting ($55), a custom flight of Joe Wagner's wines, on the rooftop if the weather is kind. The winery does not publish a duration; we plan about 75 minutes.

2:55 · Reynolds Family Winery

About 12 minutes away. A family winery on the Silverado Trail just south of the Stags Leap District, with a spring-fed pond in front of the vineyard and views toward the Atlas Peak hills. The Estate Tasting of four wines with charcuterie is $50, about an hour on the terrace. By appointment; last Estate Tasting at 4 p.m.

4:00 · Back to your hotel

Back by about 4:15 p.m., a little over six hours after pickup.

About $165 per person in tasting fees for the three wineries, paid directly to each winery.

Three wineries is the right pace for a day of serious tasting. The fourth stop is there if the day allows.

Every tour is custom. This day is a starting point: your chauffeur will shape it around what matters to you, and we plan multi-day tours for guests who want to see more of wine country.
